Denise’s path into veterinary medicine began with a simple realization during her high school years. While volunteering at a veterinary hospital, she discovered that the clinical environment felt right to her in a way nothing else had. She had always known she wanted to work in the field of medicine, but that early experience showed her exactly where she belonged. Being part of patient care and witnessing the impact medical support could have on animals and their families confirmed her direction.

Megan’s connection to Sunrise Pet Hospital began quietly, shaped by curiosity and a genuine desire to help animals. While still in high school, she began volunteering at the hospital, spending her time learning, observing, and stepping in wherever support was needed. Being present during moments of care and concern showed her how much a steady, capable presence can matter to both pets and the people who love them.

Kylie’s understanding of veterinary medicine didn’t come from a textbook or a long-term plan. It came from being present in the clinic and seeing what it actually means to care for animals day after day. After being introduced to Sunrise Pet Hospital by someone close to her, Kylie reached out for the opportunity to volunteer, hoping to gain experience in a field she felt drawn to. What she found was a place where learning happened through doing, observing, and helping wherever possible.

For Meztli, working with animals has always been tied to learning, curiosity, and a growing sense of responsibility. As a child, trips to the library often meant checking out books on animal care and spending time reading through encyclopedias. That early interest stayed with her and gradually developed into a clear goal to work in veterinary medicine.

Margie’s journey into veterinary medicine began in an unexpected way, guided by openness, curiosity, and a willingness to step into the unknown. Her professional background was originally rooted in the human medical field, where she built a strong foundation in care, organization, and compassion. When she began submitting résumés to various hospitals, she never imagined that one submission, sent by her husband, would change the course of her career.

Mary’s connection to animals has always been rooted in empathy, and compassion. She has long been drawn to the quiet ways animals communicate, offering unconditional love and trust without expectation. Being able to return even a small portion of that love through care and understanding is what continues to motivate her work in the veterinary field.

Isela’s path into veterinary care was shaped by love, loss, and an unbreakable bond with a dog named Rocco. When Rocco was diagnosed with stage four renal disease, Isela knew their time together would be limited. She decided then to focus on making his last days happy. Together they spent as much time as possible at the beach, Rocco’s favorite place. The memory of his joyful sprint and tail wag as he ran freely across the sand stays with her even now. That experience deeply inspired Isela to hone her purpose: to bring comfort, care, and love to animals during their most vulnerable moments.
